Lancashire accountants’ merger adds up to success
Lancashire based accountancy firm Rushtons Chartered Accountants has completed its merger with Titus, Thorp and Ainsworth.
The two firms are long established in Preston and Blackpool. All staff will remain at both firms.
Neil Calvert Managing Director of Rushtons, and directors Michael Muschamp and Brian Taylor of Titus, Thorp and Ainsworth have known each other since the early 1990s.
Neil Calvert said: “I have known Michael and Brian for many years and look forward to us combining our expertise to be able to provide an enhanced service for all our clients.
“It was obvious from our early discussions that the firms had similar philosophies and I expect a smooth transition.”
Michael Muschamp and Brian Taylor have joined the board of directors at Rushtons and will continue to look after their current clients’ needs.
Mr Muschamp said: “I am very excited what the new larger entity will be able to offer and can only see this as being good for our clients”.
In Preston, staff based at the North Road office of Titus Thorp and Ainsworth have relocated to Rushtons’ Fulwood office at Faraday Court.
The new merged firm will retain the Blackpool office of Titus Thorp and Ainsworth in Highfield Road, where existing staff will continue to practice.
