Business offers FREE training facilities to marathon runners.

Local business Facilities for All have an exclusive offer for participants in the Chesterfield and Derbyshire Marathon to train on their state of the art running track at Tupton Hall School for FREE.

Starting from 6th July every Monday and Wednesday from 7pm – 9pm all that the runners can use the track at no cost, all they need to do is sign in with their name, date of birth and registration number when arriving at Tupton Hall. There will also be a donation bucket on site if people wish to make a donation to the Marathon’s Charity – Kids N Cancer.

The Chesterfield and Derbyshire Marathon is an event for the whole community to get involved in. There is something for everyone involving the full marathon which can be run individually or as part of a relay team of 4, the half marathon; and a fun run. All of these start and finish in Queens Park where there will be plenty of amusements such as food stands, stalls and entertainment into the evening.

Julie Harrington from the Chesterfield Marathon said “We are really grateful for Facilities for All’s support, giving our runners free access to this fantastic facility for training. The marathon is an opportunity to showcase what Chesterfield and Derbyshire has to offer and bring the community together. The more businesses and organisations like this that can get behind the event and offer their support, the more of a success it will be, and the more money will be raised for the charities involved.”

If you are interested in registering for the marathon or finding out more about becoming a ‘marathon maker’ then you can visit www.chesterfieldmarathon.org.uk.
