Nottingham Building Contractor Picks Up Gong At LABC Awards
A Nottingham based building contractor is celebrating today, after winning an award for The Best High Volume New Housing Development in the East Midlands, at the LABC awards.
On the July 3, DL Rhodes & Son Ltd beat off fierce competition at the East Midlands Conference Centre, after the firm was presented with the prestigious award by ex-European Cup winner, and England’s most capped player, Peter Shilton.
The judges decided that DL Rhodes & Son Ltd met the strict criteria which included, responding to site constraints, internal planning, layout grouping, attention to safety, and accessibility, for its project atChristonian Court in West Bridgford, Nottingham.
Nigel Rhodes, managing director at DL Rhodes & Son Ltd, said: “What a fantastic feeling it is to have been honoured at the LABC awards. It really is testament our great teamwork and professional edge.”
After picking up this latest gong, the team has now been invited to the grand finals at the Lancaster Hotel in London on the November 10th, where all 16 winners are invited to join over 600 other industry professionals to celebrate excellence in building during 2014.
Mr Rhodes added: “Of course it is not over yet, and everyone at DL Rhodes & Son Ltd is very excited for the grand finals. We would like to thank everyone who worked on the Christonian Court project, and we believe that this is just a stepping stone onto even bigger and better projects.”
