Palm House crowned Wedding Venue of the Year
Sefton Park Palm House has been named ‘Suburban’ Wedding Venue of the Year in the 2015 Eat, Drink, Sleep Awards.
The iconic Grade II Listed Victorian glasshouse beat off stiff competition from across the North West to achieve the notable title, which recognises the venue as a leading Liverpool wedding destination.
Renowned for its stunning architecture and idyllic parkland backdrop, Sefton Park Palm House has become a popular choice to tie the knot, with couples stretching across the globe reaching as far as Australia.
Director Moira Leonard said: “To have been crowned Wedding Venue of the Year in the ’Suburban’ category gives the team and I a great sense of pride and achievement in knowing that our efforts in providing wedding excellence have not gone unrecognised. We would like to say a huge thank you to the members of the public who kindly voted for us.
“As a venue set outside the hustle and bustle of the city centre, the Palm House offers peace and tranquillity at its best, which is often a key attribute for brides and grooms-to-be when it comes to choosing the location to get married.
“As well as its picturesque setting, what makes the Palm House stand out from the crowd is its ability to be transformed into bridal haven than can be adapted to each individual couples’ overall theme, preferences and cultures.“
Since its restoration and reopening in 2001, Sefton Park Palm House has showcased more than 800 weddings and has played host to a diverse array of private and corporate functions. As a visitor attraction, the venue continues to provide a varied arts and community events calendar, suitable for all ages.
Moira added: “Over the years we’ve seen a huge rise in people looking to book events at the venue, particularly weddings. With that in mind, our experienced team of wedding coordinators work with each couple from day one to ensure that their dream wedding becomes a reality.
“Having been named Wedding Venue of the Year, it will hopefully further our appeal as a wedding venue of choice and also encourage people to make use of our unique space for various other special occasions.“
