Buildbase website removes the headache from buying lintels

Buildbase Lintels has launched a website to make specifying and buying lintels quicker, easier and more convenient for small housebuilders.

Developed following feedback from housebuilders and specifiers, Buildbaselintels.co.uk features 50,000 products in stock, as well as CAD and BIM models from leading manufacturers such as Birtley, Catnic, IG and Harvey.

By having product, pricing and technical information all in one place, small housebuilders won’t have to contact several different manufacturers, reducing the time taken to specify and buy lintels.

Materials can be delivered for free the next day or picked up on the same day at one of the 19 Buildbase Lintels branches based across the UK.

Martin Somers, managing director at Buildbase Lintels said: “We launched this website to help demystify the buying process for lintels, which can be overly complex and time consuming, particularly for small housebuilders. They will now be able to jump online, download drawings from several manufacturers, so they can not only see what the end result will look like, but also calculate the cost of materials as well as technical specifications.

“We have the biggest range of lintels in stock, so once builders know what they want they can order online and be confident that they can get it the same or next day, making them much more flexible and reactive from their customer’s point of view.”
