First Apprentice for 5Four Payroll
Hull and East Yorkshire-based 5Four Payroll, sister company to the increasingly successful 360 Chartered Accountants, has appointed its first ever apprentice as the firm continues to expand.
Reece Latham-Warde, 17, from Kirk Ella, comes to 5Four after leaving South Hunsley School at the end of his Year 12 exams. His appointment takes the 5Four/360 team up to a total of 14 in just five years.
Well-known to be passionate about investing and developing the skills of the next generation of accountants, Reece’s appointment as the first apprentice specifically to work in 5Four Payroll is testament to the success of the 360 Apprentice Programme. Four previous apprentices have already been promoted internally. A fifth started earlier this year.
Andy Steele, Director at 5Four Payroll and 360 Chartered Accountants, said that with the firm’s newly renovated headquarters in Hull City Centre, now was the perfect time to increase the numbers in the 5Four team.
“Running a payroll can be extremely complex these days and, in simple terms, we take the headache away! That’s why we are becoming increasingly busy at 5Four and that’s why we needed to add to the team. Because our 360 apprenticeship scheme has proven to be so successful we wanted to emulate that at 5Four. Our new and bigger offices here in Albion Street have given us the space to continue our expansion. And we hope to be able to offer further apprenticeships in the near future.”
Reece will begin by studying for his AAT exams before moving on to the ACCA qualification with a view to becoming a fully qualified accountant in 5 years.
