Holcroft Homes, a new lettings agency that plans to operate seven days a week, launched over the weekend in South Manchester.
The company’s founder and director, northern Wythenshawe-based Neil Holcroft, is offering his services to landlords with properties across South Manchester, in areas like Northenden, Wythenshawe, Wilmslow, Didsbury, Stockport, Altrincham and Sale.
Neil previously worked as a sales manager for Wilmslow-based pensions firm Royal London. He is supported by his wife Judith Holcroft, who is Holcroft Homes’ marketing manager, and his sister Deborah McCormack, who previously worked in lettings and property management.
Speaking about the launch, Neil said: “I believe that landlords and tenants are equals in the renting relationship, and that sometimes they need a helping hand to ensure that the relationship remains safe and harmonious.
“This is where Holcroft Homes fits in, building long-term relationships to help make a rental asset work for landlords. Having a reputable agent is essential for a landlord to provide them with the peace of mind that their valuable asset is in safe hands.”
He became a landlord himself after getting married and moving in with his partner enabled him to make his flat in Stockport available to rent.
Neil, who is a member of the Residential Landlords Association and Rightmove, has obtained his qualifications with the Association of Residential Letting Agents. With its teal, pink and dark grey branding, Holcroft Homes is operating from a Wythenshawe office.
The company’s first client, Dean Rome, commented: “When I heard that Neil was setting up a lettings service, I immediately contacted him with a view to letting my own rental property. He has all the qualities I seek in a lettings partner – he is proactive, friendly and patient.
“It was a great decision, Neil advertised my house in Wilmslow, and in just over a day, the property was let to high quality tenants. I know that Neil spent considerable time with the prospective rentees answering many questions about the property and the area – all on a Sunday afternoon!”
