Yummy Yorkshire has joined forces with renowned Yorkshire gin producer Masons.

Yummy Yorkshire and Masons Gin form tasty collaboration

Artisan ice cream producer Yummy Yorkshire has embarked on a joint venture with Yorkshire gin producer Masons to create a new ice cream flavour combination, Gin & Orange Ripple.

After tasting Masons Gin, Jeremy Holmes, founder of Yummy Yorkshire, approached the craft gin distiller to create a limited edition ice cream.

The new ice cream is made by combining the gin with a pure, unadulterated natural ice cream base, which allows the subtle gin flavours to shine through. The base is then swirled with a luxurious orange marmalade, interspersed with fresh orange zest to create a refresher for summer dinner parties and grown-up picnics.

Multi-award winning Yummy Yorkshire was founded by dairy farmers Jeremy and Louise Holmes, who have been blending flavour combinations for nearly a decade, and have worked with some of Yorkshire’s most popular artisan food producers including Mercers, Lottie Shaw’s and Puckett’s Pickles.

This latest partnership with Masons Gin is Yummy Yorkshire’s first venture in blending gin’s flavours within an ice cream.

Jeremy Holmes, founder of Yummy Yorkshire, said: “We’re so excited to be teaming up with Masons Gin on this unique new concept. Yorkshire has some of the finest producers in the country, and we’re always on the look out for amazing artisan producers we can collaborate with. The unique quality of Masons Yorkshire Dry Gin makes it a pleasure to combine with our award winning ice cream. We’re looking forward to treating our customers to this true taste of British Summertime.”

Karl Mason of Masons Gin commented: “With their award winning products and adventurous flavours, we knew Yummy Yorkshire would take care of the delicate flavours and heritage of our brand when developing this new product. We’re delighted with the outcome.”

The new Gin & Orange Ripple Ice Cream will be available from local delis, farm shops and reputable food outlets across Yorkshire, including Fodder in Harrogate.
