Chapel Allerton night venue to undergo £350k revamp
One of Chapel Allerton’s most popular bars is set to undergo a £350k refurbishment next month, as bar and kitchen vendor, Arc Inspirations LLP, has announced the re-launch of Zed Bar, Stainbeck Lane.
Following the major transformation and re-brand, the new bar and kitchen, Kith & Kin, will be unveiled to customers in early September.
Kith & Kin is a brand new concept based around the creation of a rustic, homely bar and kitchen where ‘friends and family’ can relax and dine in comfort.
Incorporating the local area’s thriving allotments and well-worn paths, Kith & Kin will look to bridge the gap between indoor and outdoor spaces, featuring reclaimed wood, exposed brick and bespoke designs.
The bar and kitchen cater for casual daytime drinks and dining,as well as an atmospheric evening vibe.
The outside area will continue the outdoors-in theme, featuring a heated terrace with retractable awning and tempered glass, creating a space that can be used all year round.
Kith & Kin will also partner with some of the city’s most innovative and dynamic food and drink suppliers, using local products and the finest Yorkshire ingredients.
Martin Wolstencroft, managing director at Arc Inspirations LLP, said: “We have thought long and hard about the revamp of Zed – it was one of the first bars we opened outside of Headingley and plays an important role in our history and heritage. We also have a lot of loyal customers in Chapel Allerton and our existing team are really passionate about the quality of service that we offer. That said, we have worked hard with our architects and designers to create something totally new and unique to the area, whilst ensuring Kith & Kin will offer a welcoming, inclusive atmosphere, offering exceptional food and drinks.”
In order to complete the transformation, Zed Bar will be closing for on 17th August and opening as the newly rebranded Kith & Kin in the first week of September.
