Barratt Homes supports charity scarecrow trail
Local housebuilder Barratt Homes has donated £100 to Huntington’s Orchard Park scarecrow trail in York. The trail, which took place this weekend in the gardens and shops surrounding Huntington, was held to raise money for vital refurbishments to the Orchard Park Community Centre.
The scarecrow trail included a variety of activities - such as a quiz, tuck shop, tombola and face painting - all to help raise money for the community centre. As part of its involvement in the event, Barratt Homes displayed its very own scarecrow in the front of its new The Meadows development – complete with hardhat and high visibility vest.
Sarah Proctor, Sales Manager at Barratt Homes Yorkshire East, commented:
“We were extremely keen to support the local community in this event and help the community centre raise money for its refurbishments. At Barratt Homes we are committed to supporting the local community wherever possible, and look forward to taking part in similar events moving forward.”
