Final round of McLintocks Charity Golf League

Chester estate agents, bankers, accountants, financial planners and lawyers have played the third and final round of the McLintocks’ Charity Golf League 2015 to raise funds for Nightingale House Hospice.

This leg got underway on July 23 at Chester Golf Club on yet another warm dry evening.

Some 18 individual teams and more than 30 golfers from BA Commercial, Jolliffe & Co, Illingworth Seddon, Allington Hughes Law, McLintocks Chartered Accountants, Aaron & Partners, Nat West, Barclays, Walker Smith Way, Handelsbanken, HSBC, DTM Legal and Knights LLP played in the 3 leg competition.

The Chester course was again in great shape and the club provided wonderful hospitality. Players from the leading three teams were paired together in the final group and in the end a fine round from last year’s winner Louie Middlehurst of Allington Hughes was sufficient to retain the much coveted McLintocks trophy with 101 points over the 3 rounds.

Mike Caputo of McLintocks and Jamie Hawley of Aaron’s put up a brave fight but were each just one point short on 100 points to share equal second. The best round of the night was a really excellent 40 points from Mike Baird of NatWest.

Mike Caputo, Director at McLintocks, said: “We are delighted with the continued support from fellow professionals who have contributed to another fabulous evening of golf at the immaculate Curzon Park course. Apart from the healthy competitiveness of the golf, it has all helped towards such a good cause in raising money for Nightingale House which provides superb palliative care for so many people, along with support for their families.”
