150 Liverpool ladies bare all for charity
To mark National Bikini Day, Beauty & Holistic Lounge created a campaign to encourage 150 Liverpool ladies to ‘strip off’ for a good cause.
During the run up to the novel calendar day earlier this month (July 5), which celebrates the history of the ever-evolving two-piece, beauticians at the Water Street salon performed an impressive number of bikini waxes.
For each wax treatment a percentage of the profits was donated to Cancer Research, resulting in a total fundraising sum of £300.
Director of Beauty & Holistic Lounge Karen Graham said: “Our customers visit us time and time again to receive a Lycon wax treatment, as it’s virtually pain free and is one of the most effective hair removal treatments available. Therefore, we knew they’d be more popular than ever during the run up to National Bikini Day.
“That’s when we decided we wanted to give something back to a great cause and devise a real feel-good incentive for both the team at the salon and our clients. In order to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK, we donated a percentage of our profits to the charity during the week leading up to the calendar day.“
Owned by mother and daughter-in-law duo Karen and Lisa Graham, Beauty & Holistic Lounge has become renowned across the North West for its unique themed waxing rooms and glamorous interior. In addition to specialising in professional Lycon waxing, the salon offers a range of treatments including HD brows, non-surgical CACI facials, manicures, pedicures and hair services.
Lisa added: “At Beauty & Holistic Lounge, we consider waxing as one of our specialisms. With that in mind we offer five different themed rooms that aim to deliver a unique and luxury experience. From chocolate waxing stations to fruity and sensual variations - there’s something for everybody to indulge in.
“We had a lot of fun throughout our fundraising week, and it’s so rewarding to be able to raise much needed funds and awareness for a charity that’s so close to home to both myself and many of our clients. We’d like to thank all of the lovely ladies of Liverpool who helped us to donate to such a truly amazing cause.“
