Fashion chain Select to create jobs in Warrington with new store
Fashion retailer Select is set to create 10 new jobs in Warrington with the launch of its new store in the Golden Square Shopping Centre.
The opening is part of a major expansion programme for the company, which expects to start trading at the centre by August 10. Select has already started the recruitment process and is looking to fill a managerial post, among other positions.
The director of Golden Square Shopping Centre, Ian Cox, said: “Select is driving forward with a major expansion plan for this year so I am extremely pleased the company has chosen Warrington for its latest outlet.
“The new store, as well as creating 10 jobs locally, will help widen the range of fashions on offer, to suit all tastes and budgets here at the centre.”
He added: “I look forward to the opening of the store on August 10, which will give shoppers yet another reason to visit Golden Square to pick up the latest fashions.”
The shopping centre sees around one million people visiting its 140 stores every month. Businesses already trading at the site include clothing retailers Primark, Next, H&M, Topshop, Republic, Oasis and River Island.
The owner of Select, Turkish entrepreneur Cafer Mahiroglu, commented: “We’re thrilled with the opening of the new Warrington store; we feel it will be a welcome addition to the area.”
The Select store will take up 3,600 sq ft of remodelled retail space in the unit formerly occupied by fashion chain Bank.
