The Right Fuelcard Company raises £700 in hardcore charity challenge
A team from The Right Fuelcard Company (TRFC) has braved mud, wire and fire in a Spartan Sprint which has boosted funds by almost £700 for Leeds Children’s Charity.
Covering around five kilometres of muddy track, the four-strong team was beset with a series of obstacles and forfeits to complete the gruelling challenge at Heaton Park in Manchester in around 90 minutes.
TRFC is committed to putting something back into its local communities and is delighted that the funds raised will enhance the quality of life for Leeds Children’s Charity which provides free residential holidays for over 400 disadvantaged children every year.
Said business director Adam Walsh: “We were definitely put through our paces - climbing slippery slopes, sliding into freezing streams and crawling on our hands and knees to avoid barbed wire precariously close to us. It was extremely rewarding to support Leeds Children’s Charity which enables children suffering from poverty, neglect, abuse, learning difficulties, illness - or who are themselves carers - to visit the seaside and make friends.”
Commented Dave Norman MBE, director at Leeds Children’s Charity: “On behalf of Leeds Children’s charity I would like to say a big thank you to The Right Fuelcard Company, Adam and the rest of the team for all of their support. I am constantly amazed and humbled at the lengths that people go to in order to support our work. Without the help and support that we receive from businesses like The Right Fuelcard Company and individuals like Adam and his team our work would not continue.”
TRFC - an independent distributor of Shell, Esso and Keyfuels fuel cards to UK businesses - is marking a formative period in its development since launching in 2011.With headquarters in Hunslet, the 52-strong business has just opened a sales office in York – nine months after opening a new sales office in Harrogate.
