NWC AHSN recognised as an Investor in People
The North West Coast Academic Health Science Network (NWC AHSN) has been awarded with the Investors in People Silver standard, demonstrating their commitment to realising the potential of their team.
Based at the leading science and innovation park, Sci-Tech Daresbury, the NWC AHSN was set up in 2013 as part of the government’s Innovation, Health and Wellbeing strategy to encourage innovation in the healthcare sector. The organisation employs staff with wide range experience in health, business and academia.
Investors in People is the UK’s leading accreditation for business improvement through people management, and provides a wealth of resources for businesses to innovate, improve and grow, with a focus on good people making great business.
Commenting on the award, Dr Liz Mear, Chief Executive at the NWC AHSN, said: “I am delighted to announce that our organisation has been recognised with the Investors in People silver accreditation.
“Despite only being a relatively new organisation, we have managed to achieve one of the most prestigious honours that any business can attain. This accolade confirms we have the systems in place to effectively pursue our aims of embedding innovative services across the NHS to improve patient outcomes.
“My thanks go to my team for their hard work and dedication in order to meet the standards required.”
