International Timber partners with Canute Logistics
International Timber, the UK’s largest timber supplier and distributor, has aligned with Canute Logistics to develop its first phase of dedicated livened trailers.
The logistical partnership will see 80-100 trucks a day moving timber across the operation’s depots with 20 of them being new International Timber liveried trailers.
The state-of-the-art vehicles boast an innovative traffic management system that includes vehicle tracking and automatic alerts to customers. The vehicles also allow multiple products to be transported at one time, making distribution more economically efficient.
As part of the recent partnership, Canute Logistics has contributed a significant investment into improving customer service levels by offering its drivers comprehensive training programmes.
Matt Addison, Operations Director at International Timber, said: “This partnership will enable us to offer a first-class service to all of our customers and shows our commitment to becoming the national reference point for timber.”
David Emslie at Canute Logistics, said: “We are delighted to be the sole hauliers for International Timber following a thorough tender process. The partnership enables us to create an innovative solution containing dedicated and general haulage service.”
