Manchester United signs new multi-year deal
Manchester United has signed a new multi-year deal with gambling website Marathonbet that will see the bookmaker become the club’s new Official Global Betting Partner in all regions except the US and China.
As part of the deal, Marathonbet will target United’s 659m fans with branding and exclusive content across its various online platforms.
In a report from the club, Manchester United’s managing director, Richard Arnold, said: “Manchester United has a global presence with fans all over the world and our partners help us to engage with them in a range of innovative ways.
“Marathonbet already operates in over 20 languages and understands the importance we put on operating on a global scale.”
He added: “Through our partnership, we hope to bring to fans exclusive content, access to bespoke player and legend interviews as well as competitive betting odds.”
Marathonbet, which was established in 1997, is expecting the deal to boost its subscriber numbers. The firm’s CEO, Stan Reoutt, said: “Recently, Marathonbet has made great strides towards being at the forefront of football betting and this partnership cements our aims as a brand.
“Manchester United is one of the most recognisable names in the world, let alone in world football and this announcement is a clear marker of our global plans for Marathonbet. We can’t wait to get to work with the club and their great fans!”
