Join the Dots becomes MRS Accredited Training Provider

Join the Dots Graduate Development Programme receives MRS accreditation

Join the Dots continues its commitment to giving its people the best start in their research career and delivering better research for clients.

Join the Dots becomes the first research provider outside of London and second overall in the UK, to be awarded accreditation from the Market Research Society (MRS) as a training provider for its graduate development programme.

The programme, which has seen 10 graduates trained since its inception in 2013 and another intake planned in October 2015, includes around 130 hours of formal training courses alongside hands-on project experience and placements working with the Join the Dots market trends team, all over a 6 month period. It gives a solid grounding in the theoretical background to producing great research, including the requisite understanding of the Data Protection Act 1998 and the MRS Code of Conduct, as well as client handling, commercial understanding and personal organisation.

Tim Griffiths, Graduate Development Programme Manager, said: “The wide variety of training courses that our graduates take part in during the programme, in combination with the opportunity to work on live client projects, means we are able to help them be future-facing and equipped for the demands of the ever changing research world. They learn how to approach a client brief, the art of presenting and everything in between, all tailored to the ‘Join the Dots way’ of doing research.”

Samantha Driscoll, Head of Membership Development at the MRS said about the Join the Dots Graduate Development Programme: “The programme is very robust and detailed and equips new recruits with the knowledge, skills and opportunities required to develop a successful career in research. The support given to graduates (mentoring, coaching and regular one-to-one reviews) is impressive and on-going throughout their career at Join the Dots.”

The accreditation is evidence of Join the Dots’ commitment to training its researchers to give them the best possible start in their research careers, whilst helping to deliver better quality research for all their clients.
