Huddersfield Town launch Town Square mobile app
Huddersfield Town fans will never be out of the loop from now on as the club has launched a new mobile app - Town Square - which provides all the information they will need.
The app, sponsored by John Smith’s, will constantly update supporters with the club’s latest news, including line-ups, stats, scores throughout the league, twitter and Town’s retail offerings.
Designed by Holmfirth-based brand, websites and marketing agency Worthington Brown, the app will also contain innovative technology from TribeHive.
This technology allows users to access the internet by providing an alternative connection to Wi-Fi, which would otherwise be expensive to provide in such big venues. Fans that have downloaded the app will be able to share the bandwidth with other mobiles with the app.
The app will be available to download from the App Store for Apple devices and Play Store for Android users.
Huddersfield Town’s Commercial Director Sean Jarvis said: “A lot of hard work and time has been put in to make sure the new Huddersfield Town app, Town Square, is the one-stop shop for everything to do with the Club and I think this will achieve that aim.
“I would like to thank club partner John Smith’s, without who the building and investment in the app would not have been possible. Thanks must also go to Worthington Brown, who have built the app.
“The Club prides itself on being at the forefront of innovation and the TribeHive technology should drastically improve the match day experience.
“This is just the beginning too; we’re already planning phase two of the app, which will carry further improvements!”
