'Rhodes To Success' For Nottingham Building Contractor In Latest Contract Win

Nottingham based DL Rhodes & Son Ltd is delighted to announce that it has landed a £1.5 million contract to redevelop a waste recycling facility in Barking, Essex.

Biffa Waste Services purchased the scrap yard on Ripple Road in March and as its preferred suppliers, DL Rhodes tendered for the project and was awarded the job, which began in April and is expected to take seven months to complete.

The £1.5 million project will include demolishing Biffa’s existing offices and building new ones, as well as installing a brand new drainage infrastructure, new interceptors and resurfacing the new area of land.

Managing Director at DL Rhodes & Son Ltd, Nigel Rhodes, said: “Everyone at DL Rhodes is delighted to have won the tender to redevelop the waste recycling facility on Ripple Road in Barking.

“We are heavily involved with waste recycling around the country and we are very much looking forward to handing this project back to Biffa in October. We are positive that they will be delighted with the standard of work completed.”

It has been an exciting few months at DL Rhodes & Son Ltd, which concluded with success at the recent LABC awards. The construction specialists beat off fierce competition to win the award for The Best High Volume New Housing Development in the East Midlands at the East Midlands Conference Centre.

Mr Rhodes added: “It has been a fantastic few months for everyone at DL Rhodes. The Biffa Waste Services contract is more evidence of the hard work that the whole team and this has given us the foundation to have an even more exciting few months ahead.”
