Old Stratford set for £17m investment
The country’s leading housebuilder has revealed plans for £17 million of investment in a Northamptonshire village after successfully finalising a land deal.
Charles Church Midlands says it wants to build 125 new homes at Towcester Road, Old Stratford.
Richard Oldroyd, managing director of Charles Church Midlands, said: “Roman Court will be an exciting development that will not only provide much-needed new homes but will also breathe economic life into the area and lay the foundations for a thriving new community.
“Our plans include three, four and five bedroom homes to suit a range of buyers, from those looking to get on the property ladder for the first time to families seeking more space as they grow.”
The development will transform an existing green field site and invest more than £17 million in affordable homes, public open space and play areas to the village, together with contributions to education, primary care and the library.
Richard added: “Planning consent is already in place so we aim to start work on site immediately and anticipate the first homes will be released for sale later in the year.”
Prospective buyers can register their details on the Charles Church website – www.charleschurch.com – to be kept informed of the development’s launch date.
