Wigan firm to hit record turnover with Business Growth Hub backing
North West firm DC Voltage Gradient Technology & Supply, which provides services to the surveying sector, is on track to hit a record turnover of £1.5m by 2016 after garnering the support of the Greater Manchester Business Growth Hub.
Wigan-headquartered DC Voltage originally approached the Business Growth Hub for help in developing a new business strategy, which led to the company creating three jobs and increasing sales in the UK and overseas.
The firm’s director, Dr Sarah Leeds, said: “It has been fantastic to work with Business Growth Hub. The team’s guidance has been invaluable in helping us develop a long-term growth plan, as we look to break into further international markets.”
The firm recently partnered up with a US agency, allowing it to tap into the exports market and increase its turnover by nearly 40% since March 2014.
Dr Leeds continued: “I am very excited for the future as we capitalise on the opportunities afforded to us by our new agency in America, and as we continue to develop our team and grow as a business.”
The Business Growth Hub’s Bob Dackiw, a growth manager with the organisation, said DC Voltage’s story highlights the strength of manufacturing in Britain, and the North West in particular.
He commented: “Dr Leeds is an inspirational figure in the industry, and with her ambition we are confident that our on-going partnership with DC Voltage can help the business as it looks to break into new markets.”
