Mobile massage services comes to Manchester

Urban Massage has launched its iPhone and Android app-driven mobile massage service across Manchester.

The service offers professional massage therapy in the convenience of people’s homes, hotels and offices without the need for advance booking.

Urban Massage therapists can be expected to arrive within 60 minutes of making an appointment. Clients can choose from a range of therapists, all fully qualified, insured and who offer a full range of specialist massages, including deep tissue, sports and pregnancy treatments.

The company says it is looking to secure 100 locally-based therapists within the next six months to meet expected demand.

Since its launch in London in 2014, Urban Massage has built an established network of 150 therapists servicing thousands of customers every month.

The app uses live data to match customers with a therapist of their choice in the closest proximity. The roll-out of the service to Manchester and selected Cheshire post codes is part of the company’s plans to expand nationally.

The company places a rigorous focus on assessments, data analysis on treatments and therapists including re-booking trends, as well as offering a rating system for customers to complete.

Megan Foster, one of Urban Massage’s Manchester therapist comments, “Clients have really embraced the service in Manchester with many of them looking to book regular sessions.

“For a freelance therapist like myself it’s also a really flexible way to work, I can just book in the hours or days I want to work and I’ll be allocated clients to suit my availability.”
