Brighton i360 to offer multiple conference facilities

The Brighton i360 is using its unique conference facilities to target the corporate world.

The upcoming major tourist attraction has promised event spaces offer an “exciting new beach-side flexible event space for corporate events and meetings,” as reported in Conference News.

The giant, glass pod, which can hold 200 people inside, will rise from street level to 450ft, giving visitors a 360-degree view of the South East coast for 26 miles.

At the base of the attraction, there will be a visiting centre, along with a 400-seat restaurant, shop, children’s play area, exhibition space, tea rooms and conference and event facilities, which will hold a maximum of 1,000 people for a reception and will also divide into four different configurations.

Furthermore, the historic 1866 toll booth next to the observation tower will hold a maximum of 45 people, while the upper esplanade will be available for 1,900 people.

As stated on the venue rate card, the pod will cost £2,250 for a reception, the toll both hire charge is £1,000 while a reception at the upper esplanade will cost organisers £7,500.

Michelle Mainwaring, marketing manager at the Vivid Event Group in Brighton, said: “We are extremely excited about the i360 and are looking forward to bringing our clients down from London to experience the south coast in a unique way with a big wow factor. We anticipate utilising not only the viewing pod but all of the flexible spaces available and are looking forward to being creative with a whole range of events we plan to host.”

Eleanor Harris, CEO of the Brighton i360, added: “There is no other venue like this on the South Coast and we have taken exceptional care to design these rooms and all the facilities to create somewhere truly special for conferencing and events, weddings and other parties.”
