Barratt Developments Yorkshire West appoints new Construction Manager
Barratt Developments Yorkshire West division has appointed a new construction manager to work across the region to further increase output for the coming financial year.
Wayne Morris, aged 40, from Wakefield moves into the role after spending over ten years with Barratt and David Wilson Homes, offering a wealth of experience in the construction industry. Having commenced his career in the sector at the age of 16 as an apprentice joiner, Wayne progressed to contracts manager level by age 29.
Boasting nearly 25 years in construction at companies including Nicholson PLC and Magellan Residential, Wayne’s new role at Barratt will include ensuring build programme delivery, striving to further drive Barratt’s reputation for construction quality, ensuring customers expectations are met on every build and efficiently managing labour resources.
Working across Barratt’s portfolio of developments within the Yorkshire West region, Wayne’s expertise in the construction sector will assist in further growing Barratt’s construction output.
Speaking of his new role, Wayne commented:
“I’m really excited to be taking on the construction manager role, which will allow me to bring my experience and knowledge to the Barratt construction team. It’s a great step for me and I’m already looking forward to the new opportunities my role will bring. Having spent nearly 25 years in the industry, I have a solid knowledge of construction, which means I’m up to speed on the sector and am raring to get started.”
