Builder invests in regional skills
Leading housebuilder Persimmon Homes South Coast has made a number of significant appointments, underlining its commitment to investing in regional skills.
A graduate engineer and a technical layout designer are the latest additions to the in-house technical team, enabling the company to better address the housing needs of communities across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire.
Karl Endersby, technical director for Persimmon Homes South Coast, said: “Over the past year we have strengthened the business by bringing in specialists such as layout designers and engineers architects so we are not reliant on external suppliers. This makes us more efficient and improves continuity when we work with local authority planning departments on longer-term projects.”
The two new recruits are Tarek Tabbah, aged 24, a graduate engineer from Portsmouth University, and Ian Armitage, aged 41, who joins from a consultancy as technical layout designer, to help the company expand operations across more new homes developments.
Karl added: “Despite the challenges thrown up by economic uncertainty over the past few years, Persimmon Homes South Coast continues to serve the region with quality new homes developments.
“From our regional headquarters in Fareham, we currently operate on a dozen sites, with a further three new outlets due to open shortly.
“To ensure the ongoing success of the company, we continue to recruit, ensuring we invest in the skills we need to grow the business.
“With so many new developments opening next year, we are excited to be joined by lots of fresh team members. It gives us a great boost to see so many new faces in the company – and reap the benefits of all their talents.
“I’m sure they will all love being part of Persimmon Homes and look forward to seeing their contribution to the success of the company.”
