MBIT Training Ltd is awarded Cyber Essentials
MBIT Training Ltd is pleased to have been awarded the IASME Cyber Essentials mark.
Cyber Essentials is vital to demonstrate the commitment and robustness of a company’s IT infrastructure. It demonstrates a willingness to, and commitment to data integrity and security by putting measure in place within your business in an attempt to deter cyber crime and to make your network a little more secure.
This has included:
- Implementation of strong passwords on all of our computers and servers.
- Setting up password reminders within Active Directory Group policy.
- Ensuring that every device uses an anti-virus protection programme with real-time protection (including staff smartphones) and a commitment to ensure that these are permanently used and regularly scan the machine.
- A commitment to keeping data secure through the implementation of a backup strategy.
- Encrypting all data whilst at rest, in transit or in use.
As a training provider specialising in IT security, especially Network Security you can expect these measures should indeed be in place. However the award is a recognition to the commitment MBIT has provided to securing their systems. “A data breach could happen anywhere, at any time”, muses Director Matthew Bennett. “Our systems contain vital company information and customer data. We have to abide to strict standards concerning data security and ensure that we only keep the right data needed within the organisation and only for as long as we need it.”
IASME is one of the Cyber Essentials accreditation bodies appointed by the UK Government.
