Diamond Resorts International Hosting Summer Of Fun
Diamond Resorts International®, a global leader in the hospitality and holiday ownership industry, is holding its third annual Vacations for Life® Summer Family Fun Programme in Europe which will run until 28th August 2015.
Each week of the Summer Family Fun programme begins with an Opening Ceremony celebration to engage guests with family-fun entertainment such as games, raffles, prizes, food and music. Weekly action-packed activities include the electric slide, scavenger hunts, limbo contests, water balloon contests, mini golf putting, junior chef contests, giant Jenga and more. At the end of each week there will be a Closing Ceremony with each resort featuring a different theme such as western, luau, disco and safari.
“Last year we had over 75,000 guests participate in our Summer Family Fun program worldwide,” said Diamond Resorts International® President and CEO David Palmer. “That level of participation is a true testament to what our team members are doing every day to provide our guests with family-focused events and activities that build lasting memories. We truly believe in the power of vacations and we want every one of our guests to experience all we have to offer to help them Stay Vacationed.™”
As champions of happier, healthier living through the power of vacations, Diamond Resorts International® hopes that the Summer Family Fun programme will encourage more people to take time off work to spend quality time with family and friends.
A recent Nielsen Study*, commissioned by Diamond Resorts International®, found that people who go on holidays on a regular basis are generally happier, healthier and have better relationships than those who don’t. Other industry research has revealed that half of UK holidaymakers travel with extended family to gain some much needed quality time together[1].
Although holidays prove to be a contributing factor to an individual’s happiness, it has been reported that a significant proportion (63 per cent[2]) of people do not have any plans to go on holiday this year. Also, a majority of respondents (52 per cent) didn’t take all of their holiday allocation in 2014, forfeiting more than seven days of annual allowance.
* More than 2,000 respondents aged 25 and older participated in this survey, which compared the happiness, health, vitality, relationships and job satisfaction of those who report that they holiday at least once per year, and those who said that they never holiday.
