ISG defies profit warnings to win £59m London office refurb contract
ISG has secured a £59m project to carry out a major office refurbishment opposite the criminal courts in London’s Old Bailey for Blackstone.
Starting in November 2015, the construction services company will work on a new façade to transform the external appearance of the property at 20 Old Bailey, which will also be extended by two additional floors and comprehensively upgraded.
David Lawther, ISG Chief Executive, said: “Global demand for prime office space in London’s most desirable business locations continues to drive this buoyant market. We are pleased to be able to continue supporting our core customers with their refurbishment programs.”
Earlier this summer, ISG set aside £10.5m to cover the winding-down of its London luxury residential operation and its Kent office. This follows the provision of £17m to cover closures during a profit warning in February.
