Taco Bell is opening in Barnsley.

Taco Bell to bring world famous Mexican taste to Barnsley

Barnsley is set to become the home of Taco Bell’s seventh UK outlet.

The world’s largest Mexican-style quick service restaurant chain will officially open in the South Yorkshire town on Wednesday September 2.

This site will be the famous brand’s first UK opening to feature an open kitchen design, open plating and the crowd favourite, Sol Cerveza beer.

Similar to the two Taco Bell high-street locations in Sheffield, and one in Chelmsford, the Barnsley restaurant’s modern design is inspired by its Mexican-style cuisine and the brand’™s California-based heritage.

The Barnsley restaurant will also offer free Wi-Fi access and charging points for customers enjoying their meals.

The 100-seater restaurant has a wide selection on the menu with international classics like Crunchy Taco Supreme, Crunchwrap Supreme and Grilled Stuft Burritos to go along with the refreshing Sol Cerveza - which is currently only available in the UK High Street locations.

Ellen Gault, marketing manager of“ Taco Bell Europe, said: “ÂÂÂœThe demand for Taco Bell in the UK has never been stronger and we’re happy to give our fans in Barnsley the best we have to offer right from the start.

“In addition to showcasing our range of great tasting products at affordable prices, launching the open kitchen design, along with open plating and beer is really exciting for us.

“It’s been a work-in-progress for quite some time. The whole team is very proud of this restaurant and we think our fans in Barnsley are really going to love it.”

Arjun Patel, the Taco Bell Barnsley owner, added: “We are delighted to have our northern-most UK store in Barnsley. We can’t wait to open the doors.”
