Caspian Media launches Business Advice website for micro companies
Caspian Media, the award-winning specialist B2B publisher behind Real Business, the most-read title for established SMEs and growing businesses, today announces the launch of Business Advice, a new online publication focused solely on micro companies. The venture is being sponsored by KPMG Small Business Accounting, BUPA, NatWest, Entrepreneurial Spark and Simply Business.
The website will be targeted at those early on in the entrepreneurial journey; the five million micro businesses seen as the “engine room” of the British economy, which are currently underserviced by the publishing community. It will offer users a wide variety of engaging content, from news and valuable how to guides, to insightful profile pieces of up-and-coming micro enterprises. There are also future plans to roll out an events calendar, creating opportunities to bring entrepreneurs and business leaders together to share advice and experiences.
The site has secured a number of leading experts to contribute advice and content which includes Paul Stafford, of the BFA, who will be offering his franchise expertise and Eric Woolard-White who will be offering entrepreneurial advice.
Hunter Ruthven, at Caspian Media says: “Whilst official government figures state that 96 per cent of all companies in the UK employ fewer than ten staff, these organisations are still sorely underrepresented by publishers. The launch of Business Advice is a real opportunity to change this and support the UK’s valuable micro companies. The new venture will combine the colour that comes from meeting and interviewing enterprising business builders throughout the country, with easy to understand tips and guides on a range of issues from sorting out your accounts and hiring members of staff to dealing with procurement.”
Bivek Sharma at KPMG Small Business Accounting adds: “We’re extremely proud to be supporting Business Advice and the micro business community. We have an exciting line-up of thought leaders and spokespeople who will be on hand to impart their wisdom and advice to readers and passionate entrepreneurs.”
