Challenger Site Services sign up to Willow Wood Hospice 99ers

Duel Pride of Tameside Busines Award winners Challenger Site Services are delighted to be part of ‘99ers’ Business Club the new initiative implemented by Willow Wood Hospice. Willow Wood is a state-of-the-art purpose built Hospice located on the borders of Ashton and Stalybridge. Situated in a tranquil location within Tameside Borough in the North West, the Hospice provides a better quality of life and provides specialist palliative care for individuals suffering life threatening and terminal illnesses.

The Hospice has been established for over 20 years and they are reliant on volunteers and fundraising activities to guarantee the smooth operation and excellent care required to ensure the Hospice can operate to the excellent standards it does. A little known fact is that Willow Wood Hospice has cared for an incredible 4,000 patients and their families since it opened its doors in 1999. All the staff and the army of volunteers are committed to the Hospice and the requirements of all the patients and their relatives.

The dedicated team at Challenger Site Services are proud to be supporting a local charity, being part of the community and local business network. The charity can also bring huge benefits for company in a business sense and it helps the community as a whole.

John Fellowes, Head of Fundraising for the Ashton under Lyne based Hospice said, “We are absolutely delighted that Challenger Site Services have become a member of our “99ers” business group. Challenger have been a long term supporter of Willow Wood and this is just another tremendous example of their support for the Hospice.”

Shaun Allen, Partner for Challenger Site Services commented ’The ‘99ers’ Business Club has been great for us as a way of supporting and helping the charity without donating large amounts of money all at once. We know since we started over 25 years ago how difficult it can be for smaller businesses to sponsor fundraising initiatives due to the amount of cash flow to hand at any particular time. That is why the ‘99ers’ Business Club is an ideal way of supporting a local charity. A business can donate 99p a day accumulating to £30 per month in total and you can also pay on a direct debit too. The income received via this initiative will go towards the much needed annual target for the Hospice equating to £2.2 million.“

If any local companies are interested in joining the initiative, all details are on the Willow Wood Hospice website.
