Food hygiene manufacturing specialist increases team

GILDERSOME based HpE Process Ltd has added to its specialist sales team with four key appointments.

The food hygiene specialist, which numbers major food and drinks companies in its portfolio has appointed Nat Glynn as sales consultant, Mike Eason as external technical sales development and Mick Hodgson as technical sales development. They are joined by Jackqueline Keating as purchasing control manager.

Nat Glynn has almost 50 years experience as a food hygienist having started his career in research laboratories studying bacteria in milk. Passionate about hygiene he is an expert on the benefits of hygienic valves for the brewing and dairy industry and is a qualified brewer.

He will work closely with Mike Eason, Mick Hodgson and the existing team to consolidate the ambitious company’s food and drink portfolio while looking for new opportunities in pharmaceutical, household and personal care goods.

Mike Eason has spent 30 in the pump business, focusing on food manufacturing most recently, relishing the tricky issues each different customer brings. Particularly familiar with the confectionery sector he is looking forward to keeping sweet production lines moving.

“Every problem is unique and what I relish is being able to work with customers to identify the real issue then design a bespoke system that future proofs production to reduce their downtime and maintenance costs,” he said.

Mick Hodgson is a qualified engineer with a career spent trouble shooting production problems for manufacturers. He will work alongside the current technical team advising existing customers and supporting new fittings.

“Customer problems fascinate me and get my grey matter working overtime to come up with unique and different solutions. I want to do more than solve the immediate problem. I want to be able to safeguard their future production so that as a company we build on our reputation for adding value,” he added.

Jackqueline Keating started her career at the factory gates and has spent the last 30 years acquainting herself with the diverse elements of purchasing. A process and procedures expert she wants to help HpE Process Ltd grow by adding value to customer service.

Andy Allman, MD of the growing Leeds based food solutions business said the latest appointments were part of the company’s strategic growth plan.

“We have been fiercely independent for more than 25 years and become stronger by building a reputation for providing the BEST option for the customer not ANY solution. The new personnel all understand that company ethos and are as committed as the existing team members,” he said.

“As we look to grow in core sectors and through organic growth in new ones they will add depth in skill and service to maintain the standard, support expansion and add value.”
