Medication packaging firm Omnicell establishes Manchester hub
Omnicell Ltd, a provider of medication and supply management services for the international health sector, has established a base in Manchester.
Set to serve as the company’s main centre for operations in Europe, Africa and the Middle East, Omnicell believes the facility’s proximity to the city centre will support its growth ambitions.
Omnicell’s MD for the UK and Ireland, Paul O’Hanlon, said: “We are so pleased to be opening up a new and more advanced headquarters and excited to be setting up a base in Manchester.”
The new hub, in Irlam, was launched after Omnicell consolidated each of its businesses - MTS Medication, Surgichem Limited, Mach 4 and Avantec Healthcare Ltd.
Paul continued: “We believe the bringing together of the four businesses under Omnicell UK, coupled with the move to a new state-of-the-art, purpose-built headquarters, demonstrates Omnicell’s commitment to the global adherence and supplies market.
“This will not only benefit our dedicated and valued employees but will enable us to provide an altogether better service offering to hospitals, pharmacies, care homes, domiciliary care workers and ultimately patients across the world.”
Omnicell’s medication adherence packaging products will be manufactured, stored and distributed at the new site.
