Interesting wedding venues in the world
Having your wedding in a church or registry office are no longer the only options available to you. It has become increasingly popular to have your wedding in all kinds of locations and if you can afford it, all over the world. Here are a few of the most interesting places you can now get married at to make sure that your wedding day would undoubtedly be different.
If you don’t mind the cold, you can now say your vows on the Alaskan glaciers. At elevations of 1,800 to 3,500 feet, you and your guests can enjoy the peacefulness and solitude of the glaciers as if you are in your only little world. Afraid of heights? This wedding isn’t for you then because in order to get there you need to fly in a helicopter.
On the other hand, if you can handle hot temperatures then a wedding at the Death Valley could be the perfect choice for you! Because temperatures soar so high in the summer, you can only get married there from October to March. Unlike any other place in the world, the scenery is chillingly empty yet also breath-taking. A wedding here would certainly never be forgotten!
Are you an absolute adrenaline junkie? If so, New York’s New York Hotel rollercoaster could be ideal for your wedding venue. Driving at 67mph and dropping 144 feet, you can say your vows whilst spinning on the rollercoaster. Also, if you hate long weddings, this is perfect for you too as the ride will be over within 15 minutes. Make sure you don’t suffer from motion sickness!
The UK has much to offer too. The Barbican in London allows you to get married in their conservatory, a tropical oasis. It is definitely a wow factor for the guests as they arrive from the busy streets of London into a calm paradise of thousands of tropical plants with the sound of running water all around. You’ll also save money because you certainly won’t need to bring any of your own flowers.
Although illegal in the UK, it is now possible in many other countries to have your wedding hundreds of feet up in the air in a hot air balloon. A popular destination to do this is South Africa as you travel over the beautiful safari landscapes. Setting off as the sun rises early in the day, spectacular scenes can be seen across the land as you say your vows in the stillness of the morning.
These wedding venues are only a tiny selection that you can choose from around the world. However, I believe that regardless of how striking many of these may be, a wedding in your home region can be just as memorable, if not more, as you can share your special surrounded by your loved ones in a place dear to you.
