New Facility to Benefit Hundreds of Families
A new respite and long term care facility offering luxurious care for children with a range of disabilities and learning difficulties welcomes its first users as it opens its doors in North London.
Called Bayis Sheli (My Home), the £6.9 million state-of-the-art bespoke facility is the result of a group of visionary young mothers of children with special needs looking for support and quality care for their own children.
Serving to realise their ambitious vision Bayis Sheli hired the specialist input of Shackletons who worked to meet the complex needs of the children by providing specialist dining, lounge and bedroom furniture with access, space, adaptability and safety in mind.
Chippy Flohr, Bayis Sheli development manager says: “We are incredibly excited by our new home-from-home facility and know it will benefit many families around the UK looking for the type of supportive care we offer. Shackletons understood our needs and requirements, their knowledge and expertise has helped us provide a space without stress and boundaries for our children.”
Located in a secluded and central setting within North London Bayis Sheli provides residential and respite care for up to 24 children requiring full time care. In addition day care is provided for a further 50 children in the care of qualified and supportive staff.
Shackletons have been in the business of creating comfort for over 50 years and are the UK’s leading design and manufacturer of specialist contract furniture for the healthcare sector.
