Onyx Health moves ‘closer to the action’ with Hoults Yard expansion
Healthcare marketing, communications and PR firm Onyx Health has expanded to the newly regenerated Maling Studios at Ouseburn’s Hoults Yard.
The move to Hoults Yard has allowed Onyx Health to take on Stephanie Oxley, formerly of NHS Innovations North, as a Client Account Executive.
Onyx focuses on health SMEs that want to grow their sales and brands. Working within primary and secondary healthcare or directly with consumers, the company’s relocation will help it to grow its workforce and collaborate with Newcastle’s blossoming life science and pharma businesses.
Founded in London in 2004, Onyx Health moved to Durham five years ago when Director Karen Winterhalter decided to return home to the North East and help local health businesses find their way in the complex and highly regulated healthcare market.
The list of clients has grown and includes Quantum Pharma at Burnopfield and Hartlepool’s Hart Biologicals, as well as a range of national and international pharma, medical device and diagnostic companies.
New recruit Stephanie brings valuable local NHS knowledge and organisational skills to the team of five, comprised entirely of Northumbria University alumni.
Director Karen feels that now is the right time to be in Newcastle: “We’re excited about the innovation and growth within the North East’s healthcare industry and we have the experience to help these businesses move beyond research and development and become a commercial success.
“Hoults Yard brings us closer to the action and gives us the chance to bring more local talent into the team. We’ll also continue to work closely with Durham’s NETPark and we hope to become a voice for health SMEs across the North East.”
