Flying start for Knight Frank
Knight Frank’s recent appointment as regional property adviser to Travis Perkins, the FTSE 100 company supplying the building and construction trades through 18 industry-leading brands including City Plumbing Supplies, Tile Giant and PTS has had a flying start with three significant acquisitions.
Mark Proudlock, partner, industrial agency, Knight Frank says Knight Frank’s role is to advise on acquisitions of property across Teesside, Co Durham, Tyne & Wear and Northumberland. “We are delighted to have recently completed on the acquisition of properties on behalf of Travis Perkins Group in Durham City, Middlesbrough and North Tyneside with a total size of just over 74,000 sq ft. We are actively looking at a number of other opportunities as part of our brief,” says Mr. Proudlock.
In Durham City, City Plumbing Supplies has acquired a prominent, 3,508 sq ft trade unit on the Abbey Road Business & Trade Park, close to Arnison Retail Park. In Middlesbrough a 25,476 sq ft unit has been acquired on the Sotherby Road on the well-established Skippers Land Industrial Estate for Travis Perkins Builders Merchants and on North Tyneside, a 45,201 sq ft distribution unit has been acquired on the New York Industrial Estate for PTS Group from Newcastle’s Scotswood Road.
