Etihad Stadium caterer lands Manchester Art Gallery contract
The company that provides catering services at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium has been named as the new catering partner of Manchester Art Gallery.
The deal will see Manchester-based Fabulous Fan Fayre (F3) operate the gallery’s cafe and deliver event catering from October under a contract spanning at least five years.
The gallery’s director, Maria Balshaw, said: “We were looking for a catering partner with passion and creativity, who is as committed as we are to sustainability and local sourcing, offering menus that celebrate the seasons and make the most of genuinely local produce, like the honey from our own rooftop hives.”
“We were impressed with F3’s fantastic food but also their approach to customer service and interest in supporting the local economy.”
The partnership between Manchester Art Gallery and F3 will feature a commitment to support the area through both supply and employment opportunities.
Neil Worcester, the managing director of F3, said: “We are delighted to be working in partnership with Manchester Art Gallery.
“This partnership breaks new ground for us as it is the first museum to become part of the Fabulous Fan Fayre portfolio, we are all looking forward to working with the [gallery] team and to bringing innovation and theatre to the catering operation and to ultimately realise the full potential of the facilities at this historic venue.”
