Rugby World Cup Kicks Off at The Printworks

The Printworks is warming up for the Rugby Union World Cup tournament with a great selection of food and drink menus and offers for fans to enjoy as they cheer on their teams playing to qualify for the knock-out stages.

From 18th September to 31st October, Waxy O’Connor’s, the Bierkeller Entertainment Complex and Norwegian Blue will be screening every game live, with all three venues offering food and drink deals during the tournament, kicking off with England v Fiji at 8pm on Friday 18th September.

Waxy O’Connor’s features three bars and nine separate areas, including the 500 year-old Waxy Tree, making it great for office outings and group gatherings. With hearty, traditional dishes, as well as sharing platters, sandwiches and snacks, and a great selection of beers and beverages rugby fans can enjoy a warm Irish welcome and cheer on the national team as they play Canada on Saturday 19th September 2.30pm. If that wasn’t already enough, Waxy O’Connor’s is offering one lucky winner the chance to host their very own Rugby World Cup Final Day Party in an exclusive area of the venue, complete with £200 put behind the bar. Shooters Sports Bar in the Bierkeller Entertainment Complex has launched a rugby-themed pie and a drink meal deal. Choose from 20 different international pie fillings and specially selected drinks, to represent the 20 teams taking part in the Rugby World Cup, for just £7.95, with a further 25% off, if that team is playing on the day.

Norwegian Blue has partnered with MatchPint and will be offering two for one on pints of Guinness during every game. It is also offering table package deals, which include food and drinks from £14.95.

All three venues are great for groups and offer VIP packages, so book your place soon to guarantee the best seats. Fred Booth, The Printworks’ Centre Director, says: “We’re looking forward to welcoming rugby fans from all nations to The Printworks and it promises to be a real highlight of the sports event calendar, especially as one of the England matches will be held here in Manchester at the Etihad Stadium, on 10th October.”
