Paintbase launches for painters and decorators
Buildbase has launched Paintbase, a specialist offering to support the growing professional painter and decorator trade.
Buildbase has historically stocked painting and decorating products for the general building trade. The introduction of a Paintbase implant in Buildbase branches is designed to appeal to the more specialist painter and decorator, while also providing an improved range and service to existing customers. It will roll-out in nine branches across the UK over the next two months.
Paintbase will offer more than 2,000 competitively priced products spanning paints, brushes, decorative chemicals and white painters clothing as part of the Herock range. More than 15 ranges of leading paints will be stocked including Dulux, Crown, Johnstones and own-brand Suregraft.
Buildbase has collaborated with leading manufacturers to undertake training to up-skill its teams within Paintbase branches, so they can cater for the specialist needs of painters and decorators. As part of the new service, same-day delivery is being offered to customers who order before 10am.
Phil Walford, Paint Category Manager for Buildbase said: “While the DIY market contracts, the painting and decorating market is burgeoning as a new generation look to professionals for all their decorating needs.
“Paintbase supports this growing market. We aren’t connected to one brand and so professional painters and decorators can choose and compare from a multitude of manufacturers, saving them time making visits to multiple suppliers.
“The introduction of Paintbase, alongside Electricbase and Hirebase implants within Buildbase mean that the trade can be confident that we offer everything they need under one roof, from the full range of products to specialist knowledge to back it up.”
