Roy Sandbach to work with Round Table Solutions

A leading figure from the North East business and academic community is set to share his expertise after joining forces with public relations agency, Round Table Solutions.

As associate consultant, Professor Roy Sandbach will work closely with Round Table Solutions’ managing director John McCabe in providing strategic advice to existing clients as well as on the Blyth-based firm’s own new business development.

Commenting on his new role Roy said: “I’m very excited by the opportunity to work alongside Round Table Solutions and its clients. I’ve known John for some time and our paths were crossing with increasing regularity. Eventually we had an intriguing discussion about the potential to combine our networks and complementary experiences. Our goal is to support clients in developing and articulating their message not simply for the purpose of publicity but as an integral part of their growth strategy.”

In addition to working with Round Table Solutions, Roy continues to hold a number of influential roles at local and national levels. He is chair of the North East Local Enterprise Partnership’s innovation board, visiting professor at Newcastle, Northumbria and Cranfield universities, a member of the project support group at the North East Futures University Technical College and chair of The Prince’s Trust North East Leadership Group. Roy spent more than 30 years in international management with Procter & Gamble, developing some of the biggest and most iconic brands in the world.

John McCabe has spent more than 20 years in senior strategic communications roles in the North East, including 11 years as corporate affairs director at Alcan. Since he established Round Table Solutions in 2013, the company has worked with clients in a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, energy, leisure and skills.

“From start-ups to multi-nationals, Roy’s career has been spent developing brands and messages that underpin economic growth,” said John. “Roy is a hugely respected figure and by working together we can deliver very significant added value to our clients.”

In March 2015, Round Table Solutions opened an office in the Blyth Workspace, managed by Arch, The Northumberland Development Company.
