Railway welcome Jon on board
A housing association is hoping to get value for money out of its newest board member.
Jon Mitford has joined the Railway Housing Association Board of Trustees, following an extensive recruitment and selection process.
Jon is currently Head of Development and Procurement at Your Homes Newcastle, as well as Managing Director of Leazes Homes.
This is the married father-of-one’s first board appointment and he says he is looking forward to this new challenge.
Jon, who lives in Brancepeth, Durham, said: “I have been seeking to continue my professional development and the opportunity of serving on the Board at Railway Housing Association was too good to miss.
“It has a fantastic reputation and I hope to use my experience in procurement and development to advise the Association on areas such as value for money and compliance, which are both very important in the social housing sector.”
Anne Rowlands, Chief Executive of Railway Housing Association, said: “Jon’s knowledge and experience will stand the Association in good stead as we continue to ensure we provide the very best value for money.”
