Engineering firm FPE Global expands with new office and production facility
FPE Global has moved offices after securing commercial and industrial space at Orion House in Cheadle.
The engineering company has signed up for 14,000 sq ft of office accommodation and a 30,000 sq ft production facility on a 10-year lease at the Cheadle development.
FPE Global, which is currently based in Higher Hillgate, Stockport, is moving to the larger premises to facilitate its growth plans and boost its production capacity.
Ben Howard, the firm’s chief financial officer, said: “Orion House is the perfect location for FPE – it provides us with the right mix of enlarged production and office spaces in a highly accessible location.
“The size and specification of the building will enable us to improve the focus of our production capabilities, and better showcase our products and services.”
Ben added: “The new office is set to enable us to provide faster and more innovative solutions to our customers, as well as allowing us to continue the development of our in-house product range and testing facilities.”
FPE Global designs and manufactures processing systems that handle materials such as sugar, chemicals, cement and energy from waste products.
In February 2013, private equity firm NorthEdge Capital, which focuses on backing businesses in the North, acquired a majority shareholding in the firm.
NorthEdge investment manager Phil Frame commented: “This is a very exciting time for FPE Global, with the new premises providing a platform for the business to expand into each of its core markets.
“We are looking forward to our on-going relationship with the management team as they continue to execute their growth plan, investing in the continued development of its staff, and driving innovation to support its product offering and enhance customer experience.”
