Sports Tours International Going for Gold at national running awards

Leading North West business Sports Tours International is calling on its customers to show their support and vote for them in the annual Running Awards 2016.

Sports Tours International who take thousands of participants to some of the world’s biggest running events including the TCS New York City Marathon and the Tokyo Marathon, also organise a number of UK events, including the Decathlon City of Salford 10K, We Love MCR 10K and the Tour of Tameside.

This year saw the welcome return of the Tour of Tameside after an absence of more than a decade. Hundreds of runners took part in the three day event which saw participants run the distance of a marathon over the weekend. The Decathlon City of Salford 10K also took place earlier this month, welcoming a record number of runners from across the North West.

Chris Bird, Chief Executive of Sports Tours International commented: “Running is a big part of what we do and we’ve been involved in some fantastic events this year so we would like to invite our loyal customers and thousands of participants who have raced with us to show their support and help us celebrate these events. It only takes a few seconds to register to vote.”

Sports Tours International has submitted the following races in the following categories for events that took place in 2015 to be considered for the 2016 awards. Voters can vote only one race per category.

BEST ENDURANCE EVENT

Tour of Tameside 2015 (19th, 20th and 21st June 2015)
