Macclesfield-based market research firm secures five-figure investment
VYPR Validation Technologies Ltd, a mobile market research company based in Cheshire, has secured a £55k investment from The North West Fund for Digital & Creative.
The Macclesfield-based firm will use the venture capital boost to further develop and market its mobile platform, which allows fast-moving consumer goods and retail clients to test new product ideas with customers before bringing them to market.
CEO and founder Ben Davies said: “We are delighted to receive the investment from The North West Fund.
“As an early stage company it is critical that we continue to develop our proposition to meet our clients’ needs.”
He added: “We look forward to working with The North West Fund to continue to deliver effective solutions for our customers.”
VYPR is just one of a series of enterprises, including an online vet training company and a music tech startup, to recently win the backing of the The North West Fund, which is managed by AXM Venture Capital.
Alun Lucas, an investment manager with AXM, commented: “We are pleased to welcome VYPR to The Fund’s portfolio, demonstrating our commitment to supporting young, growing companies.
“Over three quarters of new product launches in the FMCG sector ultimately fail and we believe that the VYPR platform delivers real insight and value to manufacturers and retailers to help them solve this issue.”
