Manchester health spa targets national roll-out
A health spa in the centre of Manchester has revealed plans to create jobs and open new branches across the UK as part of its expansion strategy.
Following a period of growth in 2015 that saw customers of Bali Health Lounge coming 35% more frequently than last year, resulting in a revenue increase of 45%, the firm’s owners now want to open spas in other major cities over the coming year.
The spa also plans to hire up to five new therapists in the next month.
Andrew Pitayanukul, co-founder and commercial director of Bali Health Lounge, said: “We see nationwide potential for Bali Health Lounge and, based on the success of the membership scheme, plan to open new branches across the country.”
Speaking further, Andrew said the firm was considering launches in Birmingham, Leeds, Brighton and Bristol.
He continued: “[We could] even open a second branch in Manchester. We will also be considering the highly competitive London market.”
Andrew and his brother, co-founder James Pitayanukul, are now expecting membership to increase by around 300% by the end of the year.
Earlier this month, world heavyweight Taekwondo champion Bianca Walkden signed up as Bali Health Lounge’s 100th member.
She commented: “Training three times a day, six days a week not only puts immense strain on my body but it also means that I have very little down time.
“My twice-weekly visits to Bali Health Lounge allow me to relax, recharge and gear up for the following day’s training.”
