Leamington charity gig to raise money for Myton Hospice

A Coventry and Warwickshire firm of accountants and business advisors is to swap its desks for the dance floor during a charity gig night.

Harrison Beale & Owen (HB&O), which has offices in Coventry and Leamington, is set to host its second annual charity gig which will include music from local covers band Rewind.

The event will take place at The Newbold Comyn Arms in Newbold Terrace, Leamington, on Friday, October 2 and raise money for HB&O’s nominated charity for 2015, Myton Hospice.

Mark Johnson, who is Tax Manager at HB&O and also a vocalist and keyboard player in Rewind, said he is confident guests will be singing along to all of the hits.

“We are really looking forward to hosting the benefit gig. We performed at HB&O’s charity event last year and want make sure it is even bigger and better this time around.

“We are known for playing cover hits right from the late 1960s through to the present day and have already confirmed some of the songs we will be playing on the night.

“Hits by James Brown, Fleetwood Mac and Ed Sheeran are always people pleasers and we are there to make sure everyone has a great time, gets up on their feet dancing and sings along.

“Being part of Rewind is quite different to the day job – but it will be nice to be able to share the experience with colleagues and friends.

“We will be raising money for Myton Hospice which is HB&O’s nominated charity this year. It is great to be able to support a local charity which helps so many in the community.

“We have already had a positive response from people eager to come along and we would encourage all of those who haven’t already to purchase tickets and help us support Myton Hospice – it promises to be a great night.”

Rewind was established in 2008 and has built-up a large fan base performing to audiences in pubs, clubs, leading regional nightclubs and corporate venues.

The five-piece band includes lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Ricky Booth, keyboard and vocalist Mark Johnson, lead guitarist Daniel Pope, drummer Dave Courage and bass guitarist and vocalist Dan Rose.
