Marsh Acquisition Completed Of SME Insurance Services Ltd

Marsh, a global leader in insurance broking and risk management, has completed its previously agreed acquisition of Leeds-based SME Insurance Services (SMEi), an independent insurance broker providing specialist commercial insurance for the business community across the UK.

SME Insurance Services Ltd, established in 2002, was ranked Yorkshire’s second-fastest growing small company and the 20th fastest growing company overall in a recent survey.

CEO of Marsh UK & Ireland, Mark Weil, said: “Our acquisition of SMEi considerably extends Marsh’s reach across the UK’s small and medium-sized enterprise sector. We have been working closely with its management team and have been impressed by their knowledge, insight and understanding of the SME segment. I am delighted to welcome SMEi colleagues to Marsh.”
