Millson Associates to deliver multi-million pound designs for upcoming Manchester bar
Architecture and interiors firm Millson Associates has been appointed to deliver a £3.5m design for the upcoming Albert’s Schloss restaurant and bar in Manchester.
Mission Mars, a joint venture from the minds behind the Trof Northern Quarter bar and gig venue, chose Millson to put together designs for a ‘Bohemian pleasure palace’ in the city’s grade II-listed Albert Hall.
Millson’s Laura Seddon said: “This is a fantastic project for us and I am delighted to see our designs commissioned.
“We have worked closely with the client to create a space which will realise their vision and have been inspired by materials and designers in the Bavarian and Alpine regions.”
She added: “We look forward to completing the space ahead of its opening next month.”
Joel Wilkinson, one of the local entrepreneurs involved in the Mission Mars joint venture, said he is “delighted” to be working with Millson.
He commented: “We needed a design partner who could help us create a beautiful venue, hosting world-class entertainment with hospitality, food and drink to match – something they’ve definitely helped us achieve.
“We can’t wait to complete the fitout and open the doors – inviting music lovers in to enjoy an incredible experience, the only one of its kind in the UK.”
The contract is the latest in a series of leisure sector projects for Millson, which last year worked on TV chef Gino D’Acampo’s My Pasta Bar.
